The focal point of our spring concert will be a rare performance—and the first in Pennsylvania—of Shostakovich’s four-piano transcription of Igor Stravinsky’s powerful Symphony of Psalms. In addition, we will perform other psalm settings and poetry that explore many of the themes found in these texts. This concert brings together the sacred and secular in a unique way, inviting audiences to experience these diverse works and texts from new perspectives.
